Right..
Me and my mate are on about St Patrick..
I know he aint irish and hes actually british born in Roman Britain, around Cumbria area.. In 447 AD. And was taken as a slave in 452 AD and taken to ireland..
My mate thinks hes welsh..
Just so i can look all smug in front of my mate with having proving him wrong (he hates being proven wrong) lol..
Where was St Patrick born? Lol..

Strictly speaking he was Welsh, Welsh being the word used by the Anglo-Saxons to refer to the Romano-British inhabitants of these islands when they arrived.
And they said an Ancient History would never be useful |

The Sunday Times has him described today as a 5th century Briton enslaved by Irish raiders, escaped and then returned to Ireland as a missionary. So no help I'm afraid! |

Patrick was born around 385 in Scotland, probably Kilpatrick. His parents were Calpurnius and Conchessa, who were Romans living in Britain in charge of the colonies. |
