I play okay on guitar, bass, piano and drums.
I would love a real acoustic drum kit, but live in a tiny studio flat.
I played a few times my friend's drum kit.
Much more fun, than the electric crap.
It didn't have double bass pedal that time though, which I would love to experiment with. |

French horn is bloody hard to blow.
I had an audition in the local brass band.
I couldn't even make a sound out of that thing. Have to admit I was 10.
Ended up being the little drummer boy.

its not that hard but then I took to it like a duck to water... ( but had been playing brass instruments since I was a tot) I adore my French horn..

If someone is a really good guitarist, then they would have no reason to be on a swinger site.
I'm a multi instrumentalist, but not good on any of them.
I don't need to, because I have a 1 man band with stage fright.

I wish I'd inherited my Grandad's musical prowess. He started as a drummer boy in the army at 14. Then graduated to a sort of tin whistle and eventually, all the woodwind instruments. The oboe was his absolute speciality though. He could play the oboe, flute, clarinet, cor anglais, piccolo, sax, bassoon and any kind of recorder type instrument. And the piano and the organ. And the drums, obviously.
My son seems to have picked up his musical genes. He learned guitar, then self taught bass, drums and piano and came home recently to find him with one of Grandad's flutes, teaching himself that too. |

I’ve played guitar for decades (albeit with a massive gap), but am nowhere….and I really mean nowhere…..as good as I should be for that length of time.
I hate practicing, so I never progressed as far as I could have. |
