It's hard to believe that not long ago every house in the country was sent a book that listed every other house in the country, exactly detailing their precise assassination coordinates......

The yellow pages told location of buildings

Not the individual themselves, that’s the marauders map, a fictional thing

Do you mean the phone book. Name, address, phone number.

I can't believe that people who would willingly write a cheque containing bank account number and sort code along with a specimen if their signature won't give that information to someone wanting to transfer money to their bank account

The "yellow Pages" and phone book were the "Google" and IP Address of thier time.

We can all laugh and mock them now, but with out them before the "modern" internet, they were vital.

And when i say "modern internet", i mean in the last 18 to 19 years. Before that, the internet as we know it now was a non starter for the vast majority of the world, let alone the UK.

I am beginning to find that happening with a number of threads most days now, it must be an age thing, well in my case for sure.
