What sort of cake would you never let pass your lips and why?

For me it's fruit cake. I blame my mother. When I was young she used to take me in to work at the local hospital she was an admin in when I was on school hols and they had pet rabbits that they'd let the children have on their beds to stroke and hug (would never be allowed now I'm sure).

Some of the nurses had a running gag that they'd leave raisins scattered on the beds and they'd tell the ward sister it was rabbit shit.

I've never been able to eat raisins or currants.

Where would you like me?

Battenberg.

On account of the whole nut allergy thing and death possibly not being that fun.

And carrot cake - even if nut free the smell of it makes me feel a bit queasy.

Carrot cake. I mean, what sort of sociopath sets about inventing a new cake and thinks “Hmm, how can I take something sweet and great and make it worse….. I know, I’ll add vegetables!!”

Another vote for carrot cake! It's just coffee and walnut gone horribly wrong.

I guess they are more essential in a walnut cake but I feel cheated if there isn't the occasional crunch in my carrot cake.

The most essential thread in the forum is Why can't I get any meets?

People will start thinking we're a single guy. What kind of crazy couples profile would have a profile photo of the guy on his own? Insanity!!!

Same, the kind of cake that is jam packed so it's mostly fruit and hardly any sponge - it just looks heavy and stodgy

Irrelevant

Anything with a fake almond flavour. Totally fine with actual almonds but they're almost always accompanied by that manky marzipan flavour. Utter vom. Other than that, any cake is good with me.
