Putting life and troubles in context... Ive followed this brutal story of friendship but wasnt aware there was a leeds marathon named after rob burrow.

Read it and weep

leeds

The pic of them crossing the finish line killed me.

I'm lucky enough to have spoken to both through the years and whilst its heartbreaking to see Rob like that now.

Its a testimate to the love one man can have for another.

Where ever I lay my hat

Kevin Sinfield was a star on the pitch and is a man mountain off it. An inspiration. Arise Sir Kev, one of Britain's finest.

Next Door

I had tears when I saw it earlier.

Heartbreaking to see Rob Burrows like he is and what an amazing friendship they have.

"I was thinking the other day that Kevin should get at least an OBE,at least!"

He's already got one.

Will become a "Sir" but there is a time frame in which honours can be given.

In the middle

An amazing friendship, the way he picked him up and kissed him on cheek whilst crossing the line made me cry

Had tears streaming down my face

Kevin Sinfield is type of male role model that we need kids to see, not ten bob gangsters

I have followed this journey and watched all the documentaries. Had a tear in my eye. I also ran the marathon today purely for this cause. Being stood so close as Kev, rob and the family came out to start us off really was emotional. Was such an amazing atmosphere and the crowds that were out were proper amazing

Kevin ran past my mum drive end

Deepest November, bloody cold, late at night - and he still had a smile on his face, a wave for us and a thanks guys. Legend.

Saw the footage of him carrying Rob over the finish line of the first RB marathon and was awestruck (again) on many levels - for both of them and their friendship

It's just amazing. But so sad. Rob has deteriorated so quickly. I've followed the story of him and Doddie from the start. Now Ed Slater too. The bond with Rob and Kevin is just awesome. It restores some faith in the human race
