I use the hay fever face wipes and eyelid wipes they work really well for me |

Have you tried using your local honey? You can build up a tolerance for local pollen. I’ve also heard positive things about the injection but I cannot personally endorse it as I don’t suffer from hay fever but my ex suffered terribly |

This is a particularly bad hayfever year.
Go to your local pharmacist, OP. They can give you some stronger/different antihistamines to the usual lotradine and citirizine based ones. Also proper antihistamine eye drops, stronger than the Otrivine ones you can buy over the counter. |

Look into it first obviously. I think there can be side effects etc. |

My son usually gets it really badly, worse this time of year obviously but I swear it's all year round. Anyway he had the injection a couple of weeks ago and it has helped massively! It's a game changer  |

I have had hay fever since five years old. Plus Asthma.
I did have injections in my teens which worked. They were stopped due to others having allergic reactions to them. .
I have since been taking Zirtek . Which I took part in the original clinical trials for. Yes they work for me. I will say this year my hay fever has been bad. But speaking to others who also have . They say this year is bad for them also even though normally do not get bad.
My thought to this is after two years lockdown due to Covid. Have peoples immune system become compromised. Like me who suffer normally made worse as not going out as normal ? |

I used to be like that...since I moved to Ireland haven't suffered with it.

It depends on the type of pollen you are sensitive with.
I use piriton, nasal spray plus hay fever balm on my eyes and round my nose and regularly wipe my hands, arms and face with the hayfever/allergy wet wipes.
Coz being a farmer sensitive to grass pollen...,. Is properly rubbish! |

Cat allergy (got 2 of the fluffy little gits) and hay-fever is playing havoc with me this year, but even cheap baby wipes and over the counter ani histamines help immensely for me. The key to over the counter stuff is to chop and change so you don't build up any sort of resistance.
Not good when you ride a motorcycle. |

The worst thing I find is people who do not understand how hay fever can effect normal life. Like today. I have been planting garden. After 3 hours had to stop and started to sneeze badly and eyes watering. So back indoors. Shower to get pollen off me. I sometimes cannot have outside door or windows open if wind in wrong direction .
My brother who passed away a few years back did not have hay fever until he was in his late fifties. He used to tell me before he started to suffer. If just a bit of sneezing etc. He admitted that when having a bad day . Realised effect it had on him and normal life. So then understood how I suffered since about five years old |

I’m on fexofendine highest dose , also try and find the most local honey you can as it helps too
I use hayfever wipes, balm and face spray
If it’s bad I have to stay indoors
Hay fever and allergies are the worse
