I don’t know. But I do wonder wether because there’s so long between each time I’ve had sex lately it’s changed me. Do I appreciate it much more and that’s the difference with growing older. |

Since operation two months ago
And since then sex drive has gone up worse than when I was younger

I've never had a high sex drive at any point in my life so it's difficult to compare and contrast.
I went for 10 years with no sexual contact at all so that probably had a negative effect on it as well.
I was 52 when I joined here and can't say that it has diminished much in the 6 years since but it definitely hasn't increased.
Another issue that affects it is that I suffer from Anhedonia which I won't attempt to explain here but even though I'm not on the extreme end of the scale it does mean I am unable to experience nervous anticipation or excitement and can only live in the moment.
I don't get horny unless I'm actually having sex.

Probably about the same, though I'm finding reaching climax takes longer (quite a lot) - benefit for some, less if you just want a quickie - consequently I like time to tease be teased, played with etc so a turn up and fuck scenario will never work for me  |

Up too 2-2.5 rs ago my sex drive was high, then overnight it went completely.
It's now coming back... yippee!
I think mine was due to the menopause and having an awful time mentally. I cut the people/things out of my life that made my mental health alot worst.
I do take hrt and supplements which has helped increase my sex drive

Both turned 50 last year and it’s all over the shop! We both have regular phases of being very horny but it’s tough for us to synchronise with all the IRL demands. Kids are getting older and we’re now starting to have meaningful conversations about how we are going to make the most of our time together with fewer distractions - our interactions on here are part of that process… |

My sex drive has got even higher as I have got older, I think mine is partly due to the fact I am older, wiser and completely confortable with my body and what I like to do and enjoying the sex afterall it is about having fun w8th no hangups |

when heading offshore for two weeks my sex drive definitely decreases and my focus is fully on work as we work a minimum of 12 hours a day but often 15 hour days for 14 full days.
Then home for 3 weeks leave and sex drive rises accordingly.
Its good being able to switch on and off as and when required. |

Quite the opposite, as the years go by the urges grow and my mind becomes even more devilish in that regard, things that younger me would have  at are now at forefront of my thoughts as well as physically being open to the prospect of it all. Making those thoughts a reality have been the harder part recently. |

Well I always thought it would decrease with age and I think society leans towards this opinion, but it turns out after reading the thread it's seems to be quite the opposite, of course I would hate it if it did and obviously the Mr would too. The people who have mentioned a decrease in theirs seemed to link it to stress and workload and I wish them all the best that they can sort out the stress and hopefully get back to a higher sexual appetite if that's what they desire. My thoughts are that the lifestyle has certainly helped us with ours. |

Our sex life is a lot more better now that it ever has been .We’ve been together 30 years and when we were younger we had young children and the lack of sleep and worrying about stuff definitely didn’t help.
Our kids are young adults now and we have reverted back to being teenagers .. |

Mine has diminished to almost zero. An occasional wank when I can’t sleep and the occasional shag if the wife is craving intimacy. I could regret it but to be honest I just think of all the time I wasted chasing fanny when I was younger, and regret that more. |

Mine has gone up. My body doesn't absorb Vitamin B12 ,so I have to have injections every 2 months. With a sex drive already through the roof, this increases it more . Ha ha |

In general I’m at a very happy point in my life.
Kids are adults now and doing well so there’s more time to relax.
Sexually I’m at the age where I know what I want, I’m accepting of my body flaws and that it’s not always going to do what I want it to but that’s ok.
HRT was a game changer and I may well be the oldest swinger in town but it doesn’t matter. With age comes confidence  |

I'm not OLD yet.
I'll only be 70 in August. But I think my brain stopped maturing when I was about 16.
My sex drive hasn't reduced. I'm still learning and enjoying the experiences. ??????
Age/experience has taught me to be more adventurous and not prejudge. It has opened up so many more opportunities.

Down, but only slightly. Various reasons. Ticked various things off the fucket list, just have way more stuff (I have) to do. Also learned to commit to other hobbies more which has been rewarding. |

I would say it's the same. Buy I find I am less tolerant of jumping through hoops to meet womens often impossible demands so I can take it or leave it. |
