Why set up a profile and type ‘fill in later’, and months later, still not done just that?

I've struggled for inspiration on rejoining, but never sank to those depths.
I wonder if they're simply profiles created to quickly nose and access the forums and others profiles, with no intention of meeting?
Mind you, I bet a few still get messages informing them they're gorgeous and exactly what they're looking for! |

More focused on themselves getting on and looking than on being looked at. Maybe assume they won't be looked at. Or have done the join/leave/rejoin dance too often to care.
So mostly pic hunters and lurkers.

I can’t understand it.
Especially when these same posters turn out to be highly intelligent and have no issues with typing out messages.
It’s a great big flashing sign that they’re lazy, I reckon. Lazy, and over reliant on their looks and (superficial?) charm…perhaps… |

They pop up, can’t be arsed with any effort, and know that their photo image is enough to have the messages roll in… and then they can cherry pick a suitable candidate.

Saying all that, long time ago I've met someone who had zero text on his profile and one photo. Verified both ways, nothing concerning in that aspect. His dedication to messages though was outstanding and I always felt nurtured and desired. We had few nice meets.
Could be though just an exception.

Plausible. Realising they don't want to invest more effort or time but still enjoy being passive observer? If something happens unexpectedly they might enjoy it but equally they won't moan if nothing does? Neither here or there kind of profile. |

I’m able to write. I send messages quite ably. But I must admit our profile was an unenjoyable experience to write.
If I (we) hadn’t done it when we did, I may not have gone back to it later!!!

I usually assume it's not a real profile if it's a woman that's done it.
Also why doesn't everyone just photo verify? It's so easy to do. I'm going off topic but it grinds my grapes. |

To make you message them and find out who they are.
Another way of saying ask to find out perhaps.
Or maybe not writing anything to give away who they are to those that might realise and pick up on their writing style etc and catch them out?
A way of hiding in plain sight where you can deny its you?
Or hiding till you have sussed out the site and how it works?
To hunt your way and not be hunted by giving them nothing to go on?
Or they just don't know what to write, fear sounding a twat, and never go back to it distracted by all the pics instead?
