When my ex came to pick up the kids this morning they went off to the car and he was still hanging about so I knew something was coming...I said so see you next Tuesday..he said what day is that,I said the first,so he said oh we were planning on going out nye...so I said you will need to get a sitter then as you said you were having the kids for a whole week,something they were looking forward tosince he has not had them all month, I said last new year's he was supposed to have them and him and the gf took off to spain for the weekend instead!I said I will not be here so if you want to go out you will have to get someone to babysit.he walked away muttering...just happy I stuck to my guns  |

Good on you sweetie. Always had same shite off sons dad, never stuck to times he was supposed to have/ had him. I dontbother now. Not worth upsetting my son for.

Excellent well done, my ex is an arse when it comes to dates, will only have the girls if it is his turn and won't help should anything turn up unexpectedly grrrrrr !!!!  |

He is a lucky sod and he doesn't even know it. I would give my right arm and left if needs be to see my gorgeous children. I was blessed when they were born and sadly don't see them now. All I want to be is a loving father who is so proud of his children but a woman scorned and all that now I am lucky if I get a text. So unfair. |

I can't help wondering why fathers whose exes prevent them from seeing their children haven't taken them to court for legally binding access rights? A mother must obey a court order the same as anyone else you know. |

It breaks my heart that on one thread there is a dad who is gutted he can't spend time with his son and who would happily jump through hoops and here we have a dad trying to weasel out of time with his!

It does break mine as well...I have never stopped my ex from seeing our kids,have bent over backwards to accomidate him in the past to have it thrown in my face. I would never stop him from seeing them...and unless their is abuse involved,I can not understand mums or dads who stop the other parent from seeing the kids out of spite or whatever as it is the kids who end up being hurt...and well as seen in posts here today the parent dying to spend time with their kids.(hope this males sense...under the influence of a very strong Canadian lemsip type hot drink...lol) |

I agree my ex is like that he always wrangles his way out of seeing his daughter and changes things cos he knows I sort my social life round him having her so good girl for sticking to your guns and not backing down xxx |

Good for you... Friskys ex hasn't seen, phoned or even sent a birthday card to his son in 4 years. We never tried to stop him seeing him even though he was unreliable...
But if you ask the ex in front of witnesses why he hasn't seen his son he breaks down in tears and says " I don't even know if my son is dead or alive, they won't let me see him or contact him." He really doesn't give a shit about my step son or any one else for that matter. We don't bad mouth him in front of my step son, but hope he grows up to realise what a shit his father has been to him....
