Ferdinand himself said that it could at least have been a pound coin! Not a fan of the man and his inane Tweets but fair play to him for making light of it. |

Having seen the footage on a news channel. If said fan is charged over it, will he as I was instigating it with his gestures? Also if u watch it in slow motion, it looks as if he actually does it him self as ur goes to pull his shirt over his head !! |

Having worked football security for at least 10 years, have seen first hand the damage a coin can do when thrown. Myself and workmates have even been on the receiving end a few times.
So to answer the question the kind of person who throws a coin is usually a crowd warrior, one that likes to hide in a crowd and not be noticed but if confronted by anyone be it ground staff, police or opposing fans usually cries like a little girl
So if you pardon the pun, there you have the other side of the coin |

That's what I thought he'd done when I first saw it, but he later picked up a coin from the ground. Ok, that could have been a coin that was thrown anyway and didn't hit him or anyone else. |
