Essex Birdflu Warning

Colchester

Sad reports that birdflu is rampant in Essex and the disease is even breaking into buildings that contain turkeys for Christmas where the birds are banned from going outside. Some zoos are baning the public from visiting penguin enclosures which highlights the risk of it spreading to some mammals. Talk that Turkey will be even more expensive this Christmas.

What the flaming hell is going on here guys ? It's all over the Essex news

Don't let those birds get into Norfolk, Tom.

Bernard won't want it.

Do viruses wear balaclavas and have swag bags, when they break into buildings?

You more than anyone Tom thought Frida would take this more seriously ...

Even the penguins are affected so this viral bacteria is jumping the species...

Aren't penguins birds Tom? But yes it is concerning that bird flu has made its way to the Antarctic.

Much as people say we have to live with Covid, same has to be said of bird flu.

Penguins are pretty much a mammal. They cannot fly so they are not birds silly

As a born-in-Essex Essex girl I have to say I'm highly unoffended by these Essex girl jokes.

They swim in the sea and have flippers, so they're basically fish.

Do they suckle their young, have body hair and bear live offspring?

If it's flightless then it can't be a bird. Even a turkey can fly into a tree. A penguin is a mammal and don't let these Science types tell you any different

What's the very latest on this, Tom? Are we going to have to start taking drastic action?

Am I going to have to ch*ke my chicken?
