I see this word used all the time on fab, in general with relation to sex or to some form of sexual activity.
Personally I think that sex isn’t dirty, it’s not rude or negative, yet the words that are associated with it often have negative connotations; filthy, dirty, nasty, etc.
Why is this?
Are we a nation of prudes and we can’t communicate what we want without expressing that? Is our language so unwieldy that we can’t find a different way to express ourselves?

I like descriptive words. I use filthy, (just recently on a post) I also like sensual or groovy even funky. I think it invokes levels of my hornyness when using them to describe sex.

They're evocative words, if you describe someone's home as filthy it's certainly more than untidy. If you describe sex as filthy, it's probably not going to be vanilla. Our use of words evolve constantly, with many gaining alternative meanings both positive and negative, snowflake and sick for example. I Don't think it's lazy, just evolution. |
