I hate being called babe, to me it's a term of endearment for couples and the 20's age group and not to be used on here especially in a first message  if its the norm from where they live, fine just about but that's it |

Even worse is those who can't even be bothered to write 'babe' and use bbe instead!! Needless to say those messages end up in the dimwits pile.
With very good friends I use dear - not to be patronising but as a term of affection. |
