In a crisp poke on the A814

I dont use the chat rooms on here but I did on another site and you saw it all the time....

Its more a term used when chatting, online or in the flesh...

It makes me laugh when I hear/see women (its usually them saying it) about some guy just because he would start chatting to someone else!....Its a sex/swingers site, wtf do they expect??

Now you see I always argued that the way a lot of females used the word... pretty much as you described... was foolish and there was nothing wrong with being a player.

But I always understood it as being a slightly different meaning.

What they lead the females into thinking it isnt just NSA sex?

Player has become pejorative.

It was never a compliment but it had an acceptable (in some quarters) nudge-nudge, wink-wink acceptability about it.

That's gone.

That or say what they need to say to have their target and then move their sights on to the next.... so yeah stringing people along is part of it.

A player because it's all a game scoring and a game pof scoring with no rules.

I thought the term was used when one sex would turn on the charm and be emotionally driven to say all the great things they could to seduce the other party for meaningless sex.. Leading the person to believe it was worth more than just a fling.

often doing it to countless others at the same time

I have always interpreted a "player" is someone who is manipulative, as in playing one person against another etc...

However, I could be wrong.

Some people believe what the text in profiles says, despite the evidence of the attached photographs.

They believe the 'professional' adjective on profiles despite the obvious fact some members struggle with basic spelling and have no awareness of grammar or punctuation.
