I think persistence and luck plays a big part, more so than looks or even personality.
Of all the females/couples that I have messaged, I rarely even get a reply. All of my meets have come from being contacted by the other party. |

sadly a lot of women don't want to shag a personality !
you have to remember a few things :
- men on here outnumber women considerably
- women have the greater choice of people to meet
- why should they settle for burgers if there is steak on the menu ?
- many women are looking for a fantasy male, you don't see many fat fantasies
- a lot of the coupled women have average built or bigger built husbands are partners
- whilst happy with those partners, in sex they may choose someone totally different
sorry if that sounds harsh, but yes, as a bigger guy you will struggle to get meets
it is not impossible by any means, but anyone telling you different is telling fibs
as i said in the earlier post, concentrate on those that do show an interest not those that don't
however, do not not accept second best yourself and do not compromise what you find attractive

im not dead fit, got a decent sized gut and do really well
i think its all down to how your profile looks and shows you off as well as how you interact with everyone and your attitudes to it all
you dont have to be super fit to have a good looking attractive profile, you just need to take a look at yourself and work out what women find attractive about you and highlight that in a good way, so when they see your profile some of them have the thought mmm sexy and an attraction is created that gets the conversation flowing thats when ur personality and attitude etc seals the deal |

A lot of the larger men i have met have met all different types of women.
the thing that makes me decide to meet them is, how friendly they are and someone who is fairly inteligent.
someone who has read my profile and knows what sort of things i like.
without having to ask me.
if i like their verification, and what they say on other peoples verifications.
if they sound nice on the phone.
if they look clean and tidy in their pictures. |

I only ever consider myself average at best but i've done okay. I think I struggle to get meets at times because I look younger than I am so a lot of people probably just assume I am rather than probing further.
But my confidence stays pretty good because the meets I do get are usually pleasantly suprised and in most cases i've been invited back. Due to the whole struggling to get new meets in the first place I make sure to treat people well that I meet regularly. Friendship goes a long way. |

same here, if someone sent me a pic and i didnt fancy them i would see no point getting to know them because i know i wouldnt meet them
However if a guy mailed me i did fancy and after talking he turned out not to be for me personality wise i would also turn him down
There has to be a good mix of looks and personality but for me looks come first then i talk to see if i like them
i find it hard to believe many people on here would get a pic off someone they didnt find attractive and then carry on to chatting to get to know them, if you did that why ask for pics |

there are quite a few 'fit' guys on fab.
there are quite a few 'fit' women on fab.
25%(made up percentage)of them will ever actually get off there arses and meet people..despite misleading folk that they will.
Its always great looking for that 'ideal'-based on what most people see has attractive...unfortunately however, some who have that 'ideal' look...are way less interesting as people when u meet them. |

The reson i posted this is I got told I was too fat to swing and I would crush her .. Well I had a gastric band fitted and lost 5stone so the only thing that was crush was me. |

I'm not cuddly but quite thin and have the same problem on here but I'm a newbie and women are always cautious of newbies but men must outweigh women on here at least 100 to 1 and women are picky creatures and if we all liked everybody sites like this wouldn't really work as we'd be knee deep in it as so to speek anyway |

personally i like guys to be quite fit, but thats my preference. No one on here has the right to put anyone else down. Whether that is for their size, sexual orientation or preferences. For me its about an instant attraction, i dont really care about the 'inner' person, i'm more a fuck and go sorta girl |

If a guy describes himself as fit I expect him to mean he is physically in good shape.
If, as on a profile I saw the other day, he is using the term to mean he's attractive, I switch off . . . .just makes me think he's arrogant if he'll describe himself like that.

I don't believe that 'most' profiles ask for fit men. Possibly just the ones you looked at...
I think there's someone for everyone out there. Some prefer fit, some prefer skinny, some prefer bigger.
I like the person. For me it's a mixture of looks, personality and the 'x factor'. That something else that you can't explain.
Don't blame one aspect for you not getting meets. It could be distance, time, anything really. You seem nice, good luck. X

Sorry to open this thread again a day after the last posting, but I think it must be said that neither of my earlier comments to the OP were meant to be insulting.
Thankfully, it looks like HE (at least) took it in the manner it was intended.
I speak as a big guy myself, who is of good nature and with a personality to back it up.
There is a difference between straight talking and being insulting and whilst no insults were intended I feel that I answered the question honestly and candidly.
I never said it was impossible for 'non fit' guys to get meets, but in many (albeit not all) instances they will find it more difficult than a fit guy. |
