I'm not always successful particularly if it's a morbid itch, but I do enjoy the challenge sometimes of just trying to will the itch away, if you like.
It's blimmin' difficult but the feeling you get when you can will away an itch and not succumb to the urge to scratch it is quite novel. |

Someone gave me a thingy for alleviating an itchy back. I don’t know what it is called but it looks like a very rough towelling sort of material, about 4 or 5 inches wide and about 2 foot long with a handle in each end. You just sling it over your shoulder, grab a handle each end and rub it back and forth till your hearts content.
Obviously not that good in public as you have to be topless. |
