We're happy having our faces public! People can decide pretty much straight away if they fancy us or not 
We totally respect privacy as well tho and understand why people don't

No, my town is a small place full of gossiping assholes  been recognised once when out on a walk and I had sent him a face pic weeks earlier, then he messaged me saying he seen me at such and such place... not tempted at all. |

as a noob I put face pics on my profile
later I realised it might be better to keep them to just friends in case I got called out in Tesco or something
I was recognised once by my neighbour across the street, but it wasn't on this site.
I have recognised others but I would never say anything if I did, it's not my way. |

Whilst my team leader would probably be OK about it, my employer could deem it to be bringing them into disrepute. Sex isn't worth risking losing my job over."
I’ve often wondered on what grounds an employer would have to sack someone if they found out they were on fab! I doubt many contracts have that written in. |

I have and have been recognised because of it but it doesn't bother me. I am not ashamed of my lifestyle choice and don't mind people knowing. I can see why others can't because of a job or such though. |

I'll put one as my display pic very rarely and hide my profile, but nope, I mostly hide my face as I would hate to be recognised. I wouldn't feel safe as there are too many strange folk around especially on here. |

Yes I do. I was recognised much before my face pic went up…once just from my voice. I’m not concerned, being here is my choice and quite honestly I’m ok with that being known |

We have recognised a few when out and about but never dreamt of saying anything. We have had the odd face pic in the friends pics but now they are in private.
The thought of randomers spotting us in Tesco etc has put us off ever having them public, now the thought of someone turning up at the door trumps that fear. |

Yes actually walked past people in street I recognise from here, happened a lot too in my old profile living in Manchester. It is amusing, but nothing was said either way. Come across about 10 people from my Facebook friends list too, even funnier  Again never spoken of. |

Just to say thanks all..... I'm ok and it was creepy as hell. And no, I didn't know him. I don't get how anyone could think it is acceptable behaviour at all.
And when I've recovered I'll probably get over it and put them back up. Along with an electric fence and massive gates. |

It's actually quite sickening that decent people are anxious about being themselves in this day and age, fair enough, personal reasons for keeping identity private are totally understandable (jobs, family, friends etc) but to have that happen is inexcusable
If anyone rolled up to Alyson or myselfs door with that deranged level of creepy entitlement, they'd be swiftly introduced to Mr 9 iron  |

Lol I was put under investigation and reported to social services for being here…putting my children at risk. I wasn’t found on here but someone who knew I was here and didn’t like me in work …any how I had the most interesting conversation with social services and the investigation was most interesting. The outcome in my favour.

Yes and yes.
Was recently chatting to someone on here that recognised me (not because of my face pic though haha) but we both laughed it off and neither of us will be blabbing about it.
I've also seen people here that I used to work with but I've not said anything to them about it (and I'm not sure if they've seen me).
There's definitely boundaries and I would never approach someone in real life just because I recognise them from here... That's just creepy |

It was malicious…however most disappointingly the allegations which were several and laughable in relation to fab and my sexlife was done without speaking to me initially and I only found out from social services…all because I did my job properly and upset someone high up  I will never work 3rd sector or NHS again. |

After reading some of the horror stories about Fab members receiving unsolicited (and creepy) contact after being recognised by people through photos on your profiles, I absolutely won't be sharing any face shots publicly on Fab! Plus I work with vulnerable people so that's another reason to keep this side of my life private.
I do hope everyone that's experienced that level of creepyness is ok! |

I have public face photos on here. If I have been recognised, they haven't said anything. I was recognised from a hook up site once when I was in Sainsbury's. My friend thought it was hilarious because she knew I was on the site. |

Conduct unbefitting of a civil servant is how a few who have been in the scene have been turfed out of their jobs. I'm led to believe that their is something in their contracts that allows disciplinary action, and I would imagine that applies to the emergency services as well. The commercial sector might be more tolerant |
