Im guessing its so you can check its still there and not fallen off in the 15 seconds since you last checked..
As a poster above said its comfort.. my hands are always down my bra and when im on the phone i often play with my nipple.. odd i know |

wouldnt make a difference to what our conversations were about.. its a non pervy thing just to check my nips are there haha
