Just had an text from my mate asking if he can sleep here tonight, my reply no kids here, why?
His mrs has found out that he is on here and been erm shagging around.
Daft bugger left his iPod on when he went out, she went snooping and OMG, he's rumbled.
Divorce I think is next. Goona take some crawling here me thinks.
As a mate, what do I do?

I would always put a mate up if him and his missus had split and he needed a place to crash. The only time I would not is if their was domestic abuse involved.
The guy was a cock cheating on his missus and playing on here. I hope this is a message for men on here. Think about what you have to lose for the sake of a extra-marital shag.
With regards to you keep referring to feeling sorry for her and her being beautiful, it sounds like you may be holding a flame for her. My advice is stay a friend and dont get intimately involved. I have had my fingers burnt doing this and lost a couple of good friends and the respect of other friends.

it is an interesting slant because since last night I have been thinking "in this situation what would I do...."
my answer would be "put him up.. for 1 night... in his greatest time of need... but I would also have called her and explained in no way does it mean I approve of what he did".....
maybe it is a story these "bulletproof" marrieds playing away should read.... if they think it can't happen to them... well it does...

Exactly what I thought.
Personally I would not see a friend on the streets but they would be gone in the morning. My philosophy of of if it means potential hassle then avoid at all costs would extend to a friend in this situation. Though I would have little respect for a friend having an affair, if I found a friend was shagging around behind their partners back they would soon become an ex-friend. |

i have read the OPs responses and i have come to one or two conclusions...

tbf, depending on my relationship with each of them, i would be there for both.
give him a place to lay his head, for a short while, but as has been suggested, explain to her it in no way reflects my personal feelings on the matter.
