How wrong they portray the scene. It's not seedy or underground. It's a common scene and not at all how they portray it.
Although all of the recent press with a certain Garda lover isn't doing the scene much good either |

The thing about watching it is it easy to see how the media produce their own narrative on a subject independent of fact. As swingers we are aware of what the scene is like only because we are in it. I would suggest a lot of the general public may subscribe to this as the truth of the swing scene.
On that note may I suggest we all take more notice of what agenda is being pushed by certain media outlets whether they fall in line with our views/prejudices or not. X |
