We see on quiet a few profiles were people describe themselves as "professional"
What kind of job would one have to be in to be a professional?
Or is it anyone thats employed can call themselves a pro?

Dont understand it.
Not sure what the person is trying to say. Guessing its that they have an office/suit & tie type job as to a farmer say.
Or maybe they're FAB Pros, and making a living off here  |

It refers to a job where one has undergone specific training and is the member of a professional body regulating that profession. e.g. medical council for doctors, law soc for solicitors etc.
I think some people use it to get across what type of person they are. Rightly or wrongly. |

I stand accused. I have it on my profile. It's neither to attach bragging rights nor to gloat. I merely use it as an adjective for descriptive purposes.
Used in its purist form one can attach its meaning to any profession, be it white collar or blue collar. |
