Lough Derg is probably your best place if you're looking for good pike, at this time of year they'll be quite big and hungry.
Those big soft plastic lures are the bollox supposedly.
Lad's are catching a lot at the moment, also catching nice big perch on the drop shot
I'm more of a bass fanatic myself, nothing like hunting bass and rock hopping around Co Clare from March to December
Caught 60+ bass last year haven't hit the 10 pounder yet although had some break offs |
