Won't be going up until as close to Christmas as I can get away with or until one of the kids annoys me asking when are we putting it up.

Not bother at all. We usually put it up for the kids 2 days before and take it down on Christmas day.

This year kids are going on a trip with their mammy- no need to put it up at all

In the attic where it belongs for at least another 3 weeks but if I had a choice it wouldn't go up at all.

I don't bother now; when there are young children around, the whole Christmas phenomenon is important, but when one lives alone it is a waste of time.

I read todat that some WAGs actually employ professionals to decorate their homes for the festive season. Wow!

December 5th and not before!

Kids had Halloween decorations up in September. Ruined Halloween.

Best practice is the week before. You've time to do it and adjust it to perfection before the day
