Watched it and will watch it again. Could be a slow burner.

East / North, Cork

Yes we watched it on rte player last night. Not bad!

Using the same dude as the main early badguy in love/hate is a little embarrassing tho. Surely there is other acting talent that can do it

The main guy in it is Charlie Cox. English actor who played Daredevil on Netflix. Rumour is that he's in the new spiderman movie too.

The inclusion of Aiden Gillen playing, as usual, Aiden Gillen, means I have no desire to watch it.

on the hill NordWest of

I heard it's good, unusual for RTE, most likely because they weren't involved in the making.

Casting the same lads again and again has tradition....

The sticks

It was a bit hard to follow the relationships of the main characters.......who are sons, nephews etc.

Found the end a little predictable but will give it a 2nd go

Never heard of it until this thread but Aiden Gillen has been the weak link in every show he's been in since The Wire so that wouldn't encourage me.

somewhere

I watched it last night with my family and enjoyed it

It's filmed very well around the docklands and I'll continue to watch it even with the few mistakes in it

I suppose they needed to sell it on so Aidan Gillen is a name and can bring in the funds

Charlie cox was the big surprise ...out of one of my favourite ever films

Stardust

Found the script a little clunky. On occasion you had a sense the actors found it embarrassing too. All the reviews were gushing about Aidan Gillen, but is he not the same in everything, Love/Hate, Game Of Thrones etc, weird facial expressions too. Probably see how it goes

Yea it was predictable as others have said.. 2nd episode has already been released by amc in us.. Due to air on Irish TV on Sunday night.. 2nd episode I found quite boring almost unrealistic.. I'll still keep watching but its no love/hate that's for sure...

I seen it described as Fair City with , watched it myself definitely a slow burner so far. But living up to love hate will take some doing imo.

This is so true. We haven't watched Kin yet but Aiden Gillen is putting us off it.

Dunboyne

Ciaran Hinds is in it and an excellent actor. Waiting to see more of him being seriously evil.

The lad with the beard, from Woman on the Verge, is an annoying wanker but this might be the perfect role for him.

Not bad after 1st episode so I'll be watching again Sunday
