La Chambre open day

La Chambre are holding an open day on 28th April, running from 12noon to 6pm. Anyone interested in seeing what the club is like, can go down and see for themselves. If you decided to take up membership on the day, its reduced for new members to just £10 (single guys or couples)
It's a great way to see if the club is for you, so why not pop down and see?  |

No I don't do tacky - and that is not good IMO 
There will be other Sundays , I may pop down Bank Hol Weekend and have a nosey |

I've been going as a single lady for the last 5 years and for me it truly is a wonderful club I'll be helping out showing folk round on the open Sunday so if anyone has any questions feel free to contact me! |

Yellow route to arena/don valley stadium then a 5-10min walk along attercliffe common.
And it's a dressed club (towels for single men upstairs, not sure if it'll be the same on open day) so if you feel comfiest in your jeans that's fine. |

There is a locker room and it's a returnable deposit for the key - you get it back when you hand the key back.  |

Can't stop that late really as have kids to get sorted. I can't really drive right now anyway. xxx

oh.... And I'm with you on how can you decide if you will like a club when it's not it's normally atmosphere.

as i put i another forum.i was going to go there early aft but as ive noticed the no play bit decided to go bit later that way i can relax a bit get feel for the place as im going alone then can stop for the eve session xx |

I totally agree with La Chambre's policy on this. An Open Day should be so that potential newbie members can visit for free and check out the club's FACILITIES (i.e. playrooms, pool/sauna, dungeon, bar/lounge etc).
It's not a way of people getting to play whilst avoiding the membership and/or entrance fee! As a single female, there is no way that I would be playing, while non-members are in the club!
If people are so sure that they want to play, then the Open Day is not really aimed at them.
Those who definitely want to play should just go along (and join!) on a regular night. Or take advantage of the Open Day to join, and stay for the after-6pm play session (where those who decided not to join will no longer be there).  |

See I disagree... If I am going to a club I want to see how it is for play. If I wanted just a social I would go to the pub.. I couldn't stay till 6 as would have popped out while kids were free.
Most clubs have none members in during play times at some point.. but I will get someone to take me along to this club some other time. |

Well I braved it and thoroughly enjoyed my visit and having a sociable drink with like minded couples. Relaxed and friendly, glad I went |

It was really nice to meet those who did come to see the club.
With regards the no play policy, it is licenced as a private members club, and thats how it has to stay. |
